Venezuela is a tropical country with warm temperature zone all along the coast, where the climate range all year is between 22 and 30 degrees. It depends about the region as well. In the Andes is a bit cooler since it is a hilly and mountain area...There are two seasons; dry season (from December until April) and wet season (from May until November). Venezuela is a country where climatic zones are defined by rainfall rather then by differences in temperature.
PEOPLE AND CULTURE

Venezuela is a country where lives various races and ethnic groups that are mixed in different ways. 67% of the population represent mixed race of European, indigenous and African roots, 21% has European decent, 10% African descent and 2% indigenous (Guajiro, Guajibo, Piaroa, Yekuana, Yanomami, Pemon and Warao tribes). The dominant religion is Roman Catholicism, around 96% and has been adopted by most indigenous people. There are Protestants, Jewish and Muslims. The Cult of Marķa Lionza also exists and combines indigenous religion, African voodoo and Christian religious practices. Official language is Spanish, but there are more than 25 indigenous languages. Not many Venezuelans speak English.
Contrast in people descents and customs also defined variety in culture. Music and dance are parts of people's everyday life and it takes an important role in rituals. Well known cultural aspect is Venezuelan music, which is an eclectic mix of European, African and indigenous rhythms. A country of salsa and merenge, but we can find also folklore dance- joropo and African ritual dance. Theatre, literary scene and movies are important and popular in Venezuela. Despite an interesting ethnical mixture and strong traditional culture you can notice an impact of a western culture. In general Venezuelans are very happy and open, polite and hospitable people, which in general take the principle of »Hic et Nunc«.
GEOGRAPHY

Venezuela is also a country of contrasts. Is the 6's largest country in South America, where you can find almost everything. From the Caribbean coast, the Andes, Deserts as well as Tropical Forest. The Caribbean coast is around 2800km long. Venezuela also has 72 islands in the Caribbean Sea. Close to the Caribbean coast you can find mountain range named 'Cordillera de la Costa' that has hill higher than 2000mt above sea level. Another geographical contrast can be found find close to the city of Coro - there are beautiful sand dunes 'Medanos de Coro', further on the west we will find famous Andes that are well known all over the South America. National park 'Sierra Nevada de Merida' is another geographical contrasts, where you can enjoy with different hiking tours, trekking, mountaineering etc. Llanos plains are mystical with the hint of cowboy lifestyle, beautiful nature and great selection of wild life. On the SE lyes the mystical Orinoco River, which with its 2150km represent the longest River in the country. The region of Guayana takes the half of this area and it is distributed into tree wide geographical parts: the region of the Amazon area with the deep tropical forest, the area of Delta del Orinoco with swamps and water labyrinths and the great 'La Gran Sabana', which is part of the national park of Canaima, where are located the world famous Angel Falls.
